Default Furniture has become my mid life crisis!!!

Its not other men, its not younger men, its not going back to Zappa concert and smoking pot, its not skimpy clothing, its not fast red corvettes its god damn FURNITURE!!!! HELP!! Who would have thought this crazy rebel who saw VH, The stones, Aerosmith would be reduced to a midlife crisis of just furniture. I have a love affair with good wood ( get the pun) ! I never in my wildest dreams would have picked this as my crisis but it just happened. ANd now I have to go back and furnish my last room!!! This crisis is so lame who would have thought good high quality furniture would have sent me over the edge!!!!!

Well, You just moved into a new house, so that's normal. I got rid of 90% of my furniture before I moved here, so it was furniture shopping I did. The old stuff just would not go with this Contempory home . Maybe your old things just don't look as good in this home.

Have Fun Shopping!

My favorite at the moment is the Trading Post in Hackettstown...plus I try whenever possible to buy local...give my money to the little guy : ) My favorite piece was the dinning room set I order through them. Canadel - it's called brandy and honey. Nice, modern somewhat countryish - great quality! Check out their website canadel.ca

other men would have been cheaper!!!! Drugs would have been cheaper, cars some would have been cheaper but no my midlife crisis had to be this damn high quality furniture!! Not only is it expensive its so much fun!!!! My husband walks into the house everyday and looks at the new piece I bought. He thinks I have completely cracked up.

Mind you this is all in fun and thanks for all the ideas and names. I will be looking at every one of then you can bet.

Fiesta dinnerware from the 1940's. It can become an expensive addiction!
