Hey my fellow New Jersey'ians! - New to the forum (1st post!)
Recently married & my husband and I are taking the next step on figuring out where we want to settle. Both of us are 37 yr old working professionals, children in our future (once we buy a home/townhouse). We grew up in North NJ, but love the South Jersey area (from previous experience).

I've heard some pretty great things about Toms River & also Brick NJ! Toms River seems like a huge town w/a lot of different "sections/neighborhoods".

-- Anyone kind enough to share a breakdown of all Toms River sections/neighborhoods, along w/comments on area specifics that may not be that safe?
-- Honest thoughts on buying/settling in Toms River? Starting a new family/Family town? etc
-- Thoughts on Brick NJ vrs Toms River?

Any thoughts, opinions are much appreciated
Thanks!

We live in Toms River. Lived in the downtown area 1998-2009...had to relocate for work but returned to the north area in 2014. Feel free to PM with any questions.

Looking for information about Holiday City West Toms River/Berkley Twp. I know someone moving in and they were recently told by some of their new soon to be neighbors that crime has been on the rise. The newspapers don't include all criminal occurrences, but small communities with many neighbors who talk a lot know what's going on. Any information is helpful as they didn't really do their due dilligence when choosing the town to live in. They are moving from Morris County.
