Default Car commute from North Brunswick to Jersey City

Anyone in this forum has insight into car commute situation from North Brunswick to Jersey City ? Approx how long it takes by car ? Preferred route , do you take NJTP or other highway ? How's Rt 1traffic coming in from North Brunswick ? What are the peak times etc ???

Though Google Maps could answer this for you, whatever time they give you, add 20-30 minutes to get inside your Jersey City destination. I recommend the Turnpike (everyone does above 65+mph), 1&9 just has waay too many lights (and local cops).

Also at rush hour, we're a slow moving machine. Short traffic lights , irregular streets, and out of towners (no offense) who don't drive aggressively enough.

Peak times = 7:30am-9am and 2:30pm (kids out of school)-7pm
