Rahway to Hunterdon county commute?
What town in Hunterdon county will make a commute from Rahway possible?
We need good schools for our child and we want to buy a house on 90K household income?
Thanks!

Why be in Rahway then? Hunterdon County is beautiful. That said, you may be better off somewhere along 78, if you still want to be close to Rahway.

I think they work in Rahway and want to live in Hunterdon. Look at Clinton Town and Township...Annandale...all located at the Rt. 31 / Rt. 78 intersection. Also some areas east of them on 78 are just as good. Califon, Tewksbury, Oldwick...(pricey), Raritan, Whitehouse...

How long ago was this? I looked in Clinton/Annandale & Watchung and at least the type of home that I was looking for the prices were outrageous, so say you find yourself a "modest" home for 400k, 90k will not be sufficient IMO.

As Wiley said, I'm in HB. I bought in October 2007, yes I found a house more at a great price, that said, you can find homes in Clinton and Annandale both for reasonable prices - depends on what you consider modest I guess.
Theres a 3BR ranch in HB for about $250k, a 2BR colonial and a 3BR cape cod in Clinton for $285k, all the way up through to the $1.6 million dollar houses on a couple acres.
