so i initially asked this question which probably was perceived as me suggesting that it doesnt matter if the person is a cop. that really wasnt my aim. i just was curious what the OP would say. while it certainly shouldnt matter if it is a cop, police see themselves as above the law and will regularly break laws and abuse their positions. so i have no problem with the OP in saying that he doesnt want to have an issue because the neighbor's boyfriend is a cop. that may very well lead to unnecessary headaches for the OP.

Mostly this is my take though I would qualify it with “some police officers”. I have very limited interactions with this neighbor, but he did make a point of letting me know he was an officer almost immediately after meeting him which made me a little nervous.

Use a shop vac. I removed 3000 pounds of tiny rocks using one. It should get it all. Gonna be a few hours but it is what it is.
