Thanks for the responses. I tried the rake but it didn't really work. I will try the lawnmower tomorrow.

Thanks again.

2. Would you say anything to the neighbor? I probably won’t because the boyfriend is a police officer but this is the first time they have really annoyed me (though their dog is starting to destroy our fence).

Thoughts?

Thanks
so how does the boyfriend being a member of the thin blue line mafia impact your decision?

how about a leaf blower? you can blow it back on their property.

Leaf blower with the vacuum capability should do the trick.

I would be scared to use a lawnmower if the pieces are actually longer (will get caught in the blade and you will be picking it out for a while).

I would just ask them how they got it up in their yard and if they mind helping you with your yard

A giant lint roller if there is such a thing..how inconsiderate of your neighbour.. can they see the mess from their garden or dont they care... sometimes I wonder about people.. I thought now only edible confetti was used so that birds can pick it up.. .. ask him if he could help you as theres so much to pick up...

I just don't want to start anything. You hear horror stories about neighbors, especially when one has more "clout" in town so to speak.

We have a small stockade fence between us, it wouldn't work.

My biggest question is why in the world does anyone feel the need to host this type of party. Let's be realistic, when you are having a baby the only 2 people that give a crap about what you're having are the mother and father.

"Hey, how did you clean up all the mylar in your yard? A little got into mine and I'm wondering what the best way to clean it is."

If they don't immediately offer to help you then you should know they are awful people and to be avoided. Because if my neighbor asked me that I'd be over with a rake.

I also feel like the boyfriend as a cop has nothing to do with anything. He works for you, the same way a city electrician does.

If I see them I might ask them, but as I can see they have done literally nothing with the stuff in their yard, I am not going to hold my breath. And no he does not "work for me", he works for the town. He has a contract, and bosses and a whole bunch of other people and things he works "for" but just because I am a taxpayer does not mean he works for me.
