History of TINTON FALLS, NJ
Does anyone know what may have existed prior to the new phase of construction on the Fox Chase Development. In Particular on the land that now occupies the brand new town homes that were complete in 2006 and some still under construction.
Was there businesses there? Was there an old auto mechanic or repair shop?
This may date back 50+ years, so if you have been in the area a long time and know the history please reach out to me as I can ask more specific questions.
Thank you

Wasn't there a dump or landfill or something right nearby?

Tinton Falls used to be called New Shrewsbury. It was re-named in the late 70's/Early 80's (I think)
You may want to use the previous name for any searching. I don't know anything dodgy off-hand.
Good Luck,
Shanny
