I am a 20 year old non-white guy who lives in North Jersey. I want to go to a nudist resort so badly by myself tomorrow on Sunday. Rock Lodge Club has a cheap price for a visitor. The website said $25 for a single young adult. I called them on the phone and the guy said that it is $12.50 for a single young adult. He didn't sound like he was perfectly sure though.

In a nudist/naturist club, I am not so much worried about being nude, but I am worried about the social aspect. I am new to naturism/nudism. I am worried that there will be only old people there and I will be the only young person there. That would make me uncomfortable even though there aren't any pedophiles at a nude resort. I heard nudist resorts in NJ are family oriented (so I assume they have every age), but I heard they still lack young people. I kind of want to be anti-social, because I am nervous and I really don't want to be seen alone unless it's considered "normal" to go alone to nudist resorts. They do allow singles to go to Rock Lodge, but there are nudist resorts in the US that require you to go as a couple only. They say that nude resort people are friendly and they would talk to you, and I am worried if I would be weird for going alone. I am also worried about being the only other ethnicity (the only non-white person) there. People of my ethnic background don't really do these kind of things, but I would only feel comfortable if there are at least a few minorities there. That would make me uncomfortable if I was the only other ethnicity. Based on advertisements of any nude resort in NJ, I've see face pictures of only white people and very few face pics of older black men. At least I am going on a Sunday afternoon where families would be there, so that means there would be a blend of every age group. I kind of hope it's crowded so I don't feel awkward.

Why don't you try the nude beach at Sandy Hook? Gunnison Beach attracts a variety of age groups, as well as diverse races, and the view of the NY skyline is interesting. You do have to pay a $15 parking fee, but just in case the going rate at Rock Lodge really is $25, you would save a few bucks in the process.

I know about Gunnison beach, but unfortunately, since I live under my parents' bills, I don't want to take toll roads that will show up on my parent's EZ pass statement and I don't want to spend money on tolls. I don't feel like driving 1 1/2 hours down to Sandy Hook unless I have a group of nudist friends. I like how Rock Lodge is local! I heard parking is almost impossible by Gunnison Beach.

For a guy who’s comfortable being naked in public, you sure have a lot insecurities. I know it’s Monday already, but I hope you went. If you’re still pondering, I say just go. If you don’t like it, you can obviously just leave and will have only wasted a few bucks.

David Sedaris once wrote about a trip to a nudist colony, his takeaway was that everyone there was accepting because they all had a shared interest that set them apart from the rest of society right off the bat.

Go do you man, no matter what your thing is.

I did not go to Rock Lodge Club this weekend. On Google Reviews, someone answered my question about young people being there. There are a lot of young people there on the weekend and someone answered my other question about going as a single. There are some young singles there and you can socialize. I am also worried about being the only non-white person there! Right now, I am going through Craigslist and Reddit trying to find young people in NJ as nudist friends.

Also, it's not a few bucks for a visitor.

Are you worried about going other places where there’s only white people?

Does the Abercrombie store give you anxiety? What about going camping? Farmers market?
