"Bury me not in New Jersey" Clem Turner (Burlington: home, live)

While passing thru Tuckahoe when I was a kid (1950's) my dad would look for Clem Turner. According to dad when Clem died he put in his will that he did not want to be buried but continually have his embalming fluid changed (to preserve him). Then he was to be sat on the porch between noon and 1PM with a dish of clams in his lap. We never went thru Tuckahoe at that time. My brother, sister and I figured it was just a tall tale until one day my dad came home with a newspaper with the story of how the town had Clem's will overturned and he was put to rest. My dad died 40 years ago so I have no way of finding out which paper it was in. Anyone out there in or from NJ heard this story? Help me convince my wife and kids that I'm not nuts.

I lived in NJ for 40 years and think I have heard of every Ghost and every other fantasy or folklure. I never heard of Clem Turner.

We haven't solved the problem yet. I did not get the story from Weird NJ. They got it from me. I'm Stacy. And if I can correct a typo last name is Tettemer. I wrote to them hoping they would have investigative resources not available to me. I guess they did not. As I said in my letter to WNJ I have found someone else who has heard of the story. I'm hoping there are some NJ devil hunters who have been in the pines long enough to help me find concrete proof.

I'm in Burlington County, originally from North Jersey, so this is before my time. I have a neighbor that has lived here for 30+ years that knows people that have lived here longer as well as other neighbors that have grown up in the area. Their parents may have heard about it. I printed the post, will see.
