Your sources are wrong. Serious go look them up on data universe.

Just in JC, the teachers with 5 or 6 years of experience are making 50K, you link claims people start at that.

Which btw, was not a salary guide or even contract but rather a recommended guide from a mediator.

As for the NJEA link, there is nothing showing where that data comes from and it is also not supported by the data universe numbers.

Why do you think the NJEA link is inaccurate? I checked the numbers for starting salaries for my district, and they are indeed accurate.

There are many districts starting at 50K or more these days (my district is one of them), but there are still many more that do not. As far as teachers with five or six years' worth of experience in JC (or just about anywhere else for that matter) making 50K along with first year teachers, most salary guides are designed so that the difference in pay between teachers on the same educational level are minimal for the first several years of their careers. The money doesn't start getting significantly better until about ten years in, or until you start moving across a guide by earning advanced degrees and additional credits.

This.

I think he's just a troll. I don't know where he got that 49K highest starting salary that everyone has to believe. I was making 52K a year as a first year teacher.
