Default What is your favorite train station in NJ?

I'll start. My favorite train station is Secaucus Junction.

The hoboken train terminal. So many trains, the station is historical and they have the ferry - you can look across the water into NYC and (you used to be able to) take a picture by the "COLGATE CLOCK". I don't know if that's changed or not since all the new construction.

The Colgate Clock is cool, but it's in Jersey City, not Hoboken.

Hoboken Terminal is gorgeous. The old CRRNJ Terminal in Liberty State Park has had its beauty restored. I like the art deco elements of the waiting room in Newark Penn Station.

Nice pics!! Thanks for the correction. I always remember driving from the Hoboken side to the Colgate clock side in seconds simply by crossing over the large intersection leading to and from the Holland Tunnel. My thing is, I've been over there maybe two times since the new light rail because it's too confusing for the drivers. I would usually park on the side streets and walk to view the water, but now, you have to drive on the tracks, which are going in the same direction as the train. What if a train comes? I just haven't figured it out yet. It's too confusing. Maybe this summer I'll take the train to Exchange Place or Hoboken and walk, but driving is too scary.

Hoboken - nothing beats the view of Manhattan looking out over the water (although, I guess that part near the entrance to the light rail might not technically be considered part of the "Hoboken Station")

There are some spectacular views from the Ferry Terminal, which is currently being restored and will eventually re-open to the public for the first time in decades. I took a tour of the terminal 2 years ago and took some photos, which you can see here: PictureTrail - Image Slideshow

I dashed through Hoboken once, but I totally agree, it's one of the great rail stations of the world.

The old Victorian-Edwardian era stations like Red Bank's are so charming, although the few that remain are pretty dilapidated.

FWIW, while I enjoy the pictures you posted, I see you linked from the original source, which is usually a no-no. It is called bandwidth theft.
You should upload them to your own photo site, giving the owners credit.

Some places will change the linked stolen photo to porn or a not so nice message after it's been linked for a certain amount of time. It's not pretty looking at some of the messages they have.. like hey a$$hole, stop stealing my picture
