Looking in Monmouth county mainly due to commute issues. I travel down to Toms River and Brick.

I also vote on Shrewsbury. It hits your diversity factor, the schools are better than Ocean twp and you're still close to Red Bank for the fun stuff. Seems like a straightforward answer in my opinion.

The only problem I see is housing availability.

Shrewsbury borough (the larger area) is quite non-diverse. Shrewsbury twp. doesn't have their own schools and go elsewhere, maybe Tinton Falls? But the boro is similar to little silver, will go to RBR for high school.

Yes, Shrewsbury Township goes to Tinton Falls for school. Very diverse, but no SFH.
