Where is the supervisor for this 'assistant director'? In my opinion, the director of the prison capital construction unit should be indicted too. Hey, here's an idea: have the replacement come in and contract a new prison for this bum, in the form of an 8 x 8 cell with no lights and no running toilet. The irony: this man was supposed to hand out contracts for prison construction and maintenance. No wonder the state is a national joke.
Where are all the honorable remaining in NJ? The one of my childhood. It seems no matter what political party is in office, the state can't manage to find people of substance and valor to run operations. Another black eye for NJ.

I started reading "the Soprano State" yesterday.
Nothing in this freak state shocks me anyone when it comes to corruption.

Some people just think they're so smart with these schemes they come up with. It never ceases to amaze me- especially when you consider the truely minor amount of $$ we're talking about. Bear in mind that while they say he "bilked the state of $700k", that's the total contract value, which would have been paid to someone anyway. Since his company had to actually do the work, he's probably actually ended up with maybe 10% of that amount (the contract profits), so he just threw away his life for $70k. Truly stupid..........
