Moving from chicago to rutherford (Jersey City, Edison: apartment, tenants, school)

Hi,
We are moving frm chicago to rutherford.My husbands office is in rutherford.
We have a son 3 year old.We are looking for a apartment and a good preschool
Which area will be best to live.We are indian ..so indian community will be preferred.

There is no Indian section of Rutherford, I am sure there are Indian people in Rutherford but not all in one spot. The closest place to Rutherford that has a Indian section is Jersey City.

East Rutherford has an apartment community called "Rutherford Heights" I would say has mostly Indian tenants.

At least you are now used to the Snow, and cold.

There are enough Indians in the vicinity. If you want some food just go to NYC indian restaurant.

Try Edison. Longer haul but lots of folks with background you seek. Good luck

Edison is much too far from Rutherford to have a reasonable commute. A better choice would be the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany. They have a large Indian community with easy access to routes 80 and 46 for the commute to Rutherford.
