maplewood nj
Can anyone give me the inside scoop on maplewood? It seems to good to be true, decent commute to NYC, more affordable homes, I like the diversity but it seems the schools are pretty good. What is the catch? I know no town is perfect but this comes pretty close to what I am looking for. I would like to hear from families with elementary and middle school age children if possible.
thanks.

Love Maplewood, what the above poster said. The only drawback IMO are the taxes. It seems to be like that in most NJ.

Did you get off at exit 19? If you turn left - it heads toward Hackettstown...if you had gone straight over you would have come to my house : ) Maybe next time?

Through Budd Lake - that's an ok ride...next time stay on Rt. 80 and go two more exits...much more of a scenic ride! And next time for sure : ) What were you doing out here?
