I am looking for a sushi restaurant that can make up a platter of sushi for about $75. Looking to take a platter to a Christmas party. Would like at least 15+ rolls.

Looking for places in Essex, Morris or Union county.

That's $5 a roll, which is slightly lower than average (5-7, depending), but I like Mizu Sushi in Cranford, you might be able to work something out with a lunch special possibly.

Ginger sushi in scotch plains is really really good and their prices are reasonable for the "regular" rolls

There really aren't any places that meets my sushi quality standards but if I had to choose then I rather go with Mitsuwa since they use real Japanese rice not the California rice.

Take the $35 + $40 platters, which actually is better than the $75 platter in terms of quantity.

I agree with @vision33r. Most sushi here is crap, worse than eki sushi in Japan. For good quality, you want a Japanese chef. Most Americans cannot tell though, so the other stuff passes (particularly if you load it down with shoyu and/or [fake] wasabi).

I wouldn't go out of my way to get Japanese rice.
