I am looking for a sushi restaurant that can make up a platter of sushi for about $75. Looking to take a platter to a Christmas party. Would like at least 15+ rolls.
Looking for places in Essex, Morris or Union county.
That's $5 a roll, which is slightly lower than average (5-7, depending), but I like Mizu Sushi in Cranford, you might be able to work something out with a lunch special possibly. Mizu Sushi - Japanese Restaurant
There really aren't any places that meets my sushi quality standards but if I had to choose then I rather go with Mitsuwa since they use real Japanese rice not the California rice.
Take the $35 + $40 platters, which actually is better than the $75 platter in terms of quantity.
I agree with @vision33r. Most sushi here is crap, worse than eki sushi in Japan. For good quality, you want a Japanese chef. Most Americans cannot tell though, so the other stuff passes (particularly if you load it down with shoyu and/or [fake] wasabi).
