Hey, if they want their taxes to skyrocket for illegal immigrants (who are also covered under the proposed bill) then more power to them..

According to sources it will be funded by a new commuter tax imposed on those that work but do not reside in the 5 Boroughs. Sounds like a good deal. Time to give back folks.

Borrowing is never a good deal, whether one lives in one of NYC's five boroughs, or outside of NYC.

NYC has had free community colleges for decades as long as you qualify the income level you were getting paid to go to City college.

NYC was given away their Medicaid to low income for decades, something they clamp down during the recession.

Nothing new here.

It doens't solve inequality issues as the poor stays poor to get their qualification low enough to keep their freebies. The middle class are the ones that are gonna get screwed because the higher taxes, cost of living will push more people out of NYC.

If you have a job you are most likely gonna get better private insurance coverage so the free healthcare is moot. It's another govt program that most private practices don't accept.
