Good question. I say eliminate realtor licensing requirements and let anyone sell real estate and post listings on MLS.

Exactly!
Anyone possessing a Drivers License is capable of transporting potential customers to homes that are on the market, and anyone who can count to ten and is able to tie his shoes could pass the licensing test that is necessary in order to become a real estate agent. Some of the absolute dumbest people I have ever known were licensed real estate agents.

Why bother having a Driver's License? Isn't that more socialistic big government control? Why even bother living a city with roads and sewage and fire departments and police departments and electrical grids public schools when that's all socialism? Might as well go live off the grid in the middle of nowhere. Hopefully you don't get hurt though, because those police and EMTs might infect you with their socialism. Also I hope you don't plan on living off of social security because that would be socialism controlling your life. Never drive on a public highway, fly in a plane, or take a train either.

Yup!
When the next snowstorm takes place, the Libertarians should blockade their streets in order to prevent those "Socialist" snowplows from clearing the road, and in the spring, they should engage in guerilla tactics in order to prevent those "Socialist" paving crews from repairing the roads.

Additionally...
Rather than paying taxes that subsidize hospitals, all people should be responsible for building their own hospitals! And, if you think that your kids may need to be immunized, you should develop your own vaccines, rather than allowing pharma companies to rely on research and subsidies from The CDC.

The bottom line is that a very strong spirit of Misanthropy underlies all Libertarian philosophy, and I have to wonder what caused these Libertarians to be so antisocial, and to hate all of mankind, except for... perhaps... their own families.

Hijack to the original thread, but no. All professional licenses should be repealed. The state has no business telling anyone how to offer their services to the public, or for what price.

In the era of the Internet, online reviews can act as sufficient protection for the public from shady operators.

Nothing is stopping you from moving to Alabama.
It doesn't matter whether it is a state or the country, your idea is still ridiculous. No one should just move because of politics. The Democrats and Left don't own NJ or any state. Likewise liberals shouldn't have to move out of Alabama either.

That's like saying to black people, why complain about racism? If you hate it so much, just move.

Just admit your Leftist idea, just like many of your other posts that I've read is just dumb.

I agree, except for the MLS part. We created that privately and own it, so you would have to pay to join that. Nothing is free. But getting rid of the licensing part is fine. I mean, it's gotten to the point where the state collects confiscatory bull$hit fees for literally ANYTHING that becomes a profession. Why does a hairdresser have to pay ransom money to the state in order to cut someone's hair? Why?

Are you aware that it costs $500 to have any corporation in this state, every single year? Even if the corporation makes no money or even has losses. They call it a "franchise" tax. Last time I looked, franchises offer their franchisees all kinds of benefits and training and physical equipment and goodwill to enable you to succeed, in trade for your franchise fee.

What does the franchise fee in New Jersey get you? Oh yeah, you get to STAY OUT OF JAIL.

Yet it's not misanthropy to steal money from one person and give it to another for no reason under penalty of imprisonment. (redistribution of wealth). Like the "wealth" is just there, and wasn't earned by the good people, the people who produce stuff and make the world go round. But no, the losers get to point the political gun based on joining a mob and just take what they cannot earn using the police power of the state. And that's fine.

The minimum wage is the latest example of absolute state theft. TAKING something from someone and GIVING it to someone else. And why? Because the person NEEDS the money and doesn't bring enough VALUE to the world to be paid adequately. Once again, we worship mediocrity and penalize virtue. Lovely state!

I'm pretty sure, if I remember correctly, people have said this before.

And wait, snowflake, you don't like hearing the advice of your own kin? You sound triggered by going towards personal insults and calling me dumb. I'm just repeating what conservatives have said since Trump won. Why am I not allowed to say it?

Also, if you really truly believe left-wing politics don't work, why don't you research all those great countries where they have limited government? The right wants to throw around "VENEZUELA" as an insult anytime socialism comes up, even though Venezuela's collapse is due to more than just political ideology and you know it. Why can't I throw around "SOMALIA" then? If Venezuela is a liberal wet dream, then Somalia is a conservative wet dream, right?

Also, the freest countries on earth are often the most "socialist" on earth. Universal healthcare, paid family leave, paid sick leave, paid vacation days, free/low-cost college, pensions, limited religious influence on politics, and extreme care for marginalized minorities like the LGBT run rampant in almost all of the countries on this list.

Just admit your rightwing ideas, just like many rightwing ideas that everyone uses as propaganda, is just dumb and unsupported by any facts. And I mean real facts, not Fox News facts.

You sound really angry and like you lack any ounce of empathy or humanity within your bag of skin. There is clearly no heart, nor sympathy, nor empathy, nor soul, nor humanity within you. Please read the following article and it explains how political differences are not the same as differences on our view of humanity.

"I don’t know how to explain to someone why they should care about other people."
