Little reading comprehension would do wonders. Our representation in Washington that makes us a provider state are all dems. When was the last time we elected a Repub to the senate Sherlock? and where have we ended up, as one of only 10 provider states...and its going to get worse.
Gotta love how people who cant argue fact for fact resort instead to insults and snark.

Well, maybe if we had a Democratic majority in the Senate as well as the House, they could pass a bill so each state could get funded at the amount they sent to the Feds. I bet a lot of the red states would be screaming bloody murder at that prospect. The "rain tax" would be an insignificant fraction of the money New Jersey would get back under those circumstances.

interesting, so you figure they should just send money to the feds and get that same money back? kind of starts to make you wonder why bother sending any money to the feds.

A little interpretation of the facts would help. AGAIN, most of the "taker" states have more govt offices, or military installations than the provider states.

lets also say you have people who spent their entire working lives in nj or ny paying in. then they retire and move to a place like florida. so those same people that paid in are supposedly takers when they move to florida.

Right - after paying taxes on fat NY metro salaries for 40 years they become takers by moving to FL for their last few years.

Do you ever read what you post?
i did consider that response when i posted that. i determined that it is still that individual paying the taxes and then that individual receiving the benefits in another state. we are all individuals, states dont pay taxes; the working people do. its interesting that you would want to take credit for other people's contribution because you happen to live in the same state as they do.

Yes I see you are good at that. You respond to your "own" facts and not to my replies.
