Walk in, if you choose, tell them you weren't even moving at all,,, the planets and others may have been,,, but you are not in charge of interplanetary speeds.
If you just at pay it, in this case, he would be pleading guilty to the higher speed bracket. If most anyone walks in to court they often knock the speed down for starters.
Also if you want to contest it or get it knocked down you don't pay it but either appear on the scheduled date in court or they tell you when to come back in.
The other item they will offer you on speeding tickets is to knock it down to the lowest category, for instance instead of 48 in a 25, they offer like 14 miles over, say 39 on a 25, still a violation but lower category.
That's very common if you appear in court.
All these offers are made in a smaller side room where you speak with the prosecutor then go back in court where the judge makes it official.
If you luck out somehow, they might give you obstructing traffic. Myself years ago I was working late and came in late, court almost over, I asked for obstructing, prosecutor said judge might not go for it, but since everyone wanted to close and go home, done deal, pay on the way out, boom. But I didn't and wouldn't plan on that, just luck.

Years or decades ago most NJ lawyers wouldn't even bother to get involved with traffic court but over the years that has changed the other way and now they buy mailing lists from towns and most anyone who gets a ticket gets about a dozen letters from lawyers requesting their business.
I drive a manual trans and can tell you coasting in neutral is a violation. So if you try to defend yourself, leave that part out. We all do, just don't include that part in your story.

48 may have been the other guy and not you. Radar could be right on. cop's mistake not radar's???
I think overall in NJ very very few traffic cases ever get to the point of details, radar, speed, etc. Just my impression. Most courts you walk into, some I've seen where the prosecutor greets everyone with "Hello I can make that no points for you". They usually offer everyone one of the "Jersey specials" and most lawyers get you similar results except they get called quicker.
