A nice liberal town w/ a strong jewish population??
This is what I am researching. I'd like to move my family somewhere south of Princeton (anywhere south all the way to down to the shore). I'd like a laid back, liberal, diverse community. I am also looking for good schools and a strong jewish population. A nice little 'downtown' area is a plus, but not a deal breaker.
ANYONE have any thoughts??? Please!!

Lakewood is a town with a large jewish population with a downtown. But I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

Hahaha well I have to say... I almost always agree with JerseyMan on everything. But I really still dont understand why people make fun of Lakewood so much. I always have a great time in that town and don't understand the negativity.

Haddonfield is pretty much a no brainer. It has every single aspect of which you describe.

Well, my husband is reform and that seems to be the direction we are headed with the kids. I am a non-practicing Catholic myself. There are no Jews really where we are now. My daughter is one of 3 in her entire school. I don't really want her to feel that kind of religious isolation. kwim?
