Gee how many more people can they cram onto the Path trains? I moved out of JC over 10 years ago and it was packed even back then.

Its being developed by Jared Kushner, and he is married to first daughter.

No it’s not. Wrong Kushner. Jared is part of the other Kushner clan.

To be clear though, the two Kushner family companies ARE relatives of each other.

They are relatives, but also enemies and rivals.

Jared’s father, Charlie, started Kushner Companies. Kushner Companies has a couple of projects in Journal Square, but they haven’t gotten off the ground (long story).

Charlie’s brother, Murray, started KRE. KRE is developing Journal Squared.

Charlie and Murray HATE each other (another long story involving tax evasion, Charlie hiring a prostitute to sleep with their sister’s husband and taping as payback for witness testimony, federal prison, etc). The two Kushner clans are battling to be the biggest developers in a few places. Journal Square is one of the battlegrounds.

The infrastructure of Jersey City was bad 30 years ago. With these additional buildings traffic, commuting on trains, will be worse.

The parking + car congestion during rush hour is absolutely horrible. Getting from JSQ to home in heights used to take me 5 min by car 2 years ago.. it now takes me 15min due to congestion and pedestrian traffic

Oh, as for taking the PATH in the past 4 years of working in NYC leaving between 7-8am I have never, ever, gotten a seat - coming back yes sometimes but not going

I will get a seat about 30% of the time going from JSQ to 33rd. Usually I prefer to stand in one of the little "alcoves" at the end of certain trains
