Walking dog (crime, house, to live)

I was just walking my dog and a neighbor who lives on a corner posted a no trespassing sign on her front lawn. As I was walking on the public sidewalk she started pounding her window from the inside of her home. I could hear her screaming. Her dogs started barking from her sofa as they looked out to my dog. This happens every time I walk by. I ignored her screaming. Then she came outside behind her fence line and continued the screaming. She doesn't want my dog to step on her grass as I walk by. I told her to call the police and kept walking. She was hysterical and I can see this is going to become a problem. I learned that in miami dade county, in order to have a strong no trespassing case, you have to have a fence with posted sign or some kind of barrier with posted sign to stop the person. Simply posting sign is not legal. The police and Miami dade county rules have it worded this way. Have you encountered this situation?

My old neighbor at my old house always use to bring his dog to go potty right in front of my house directly on my front yard. He never had the courtesy to pick up after his dog. He was low class trash and he was such a nuisance. It really bothered me every time I saw him on my security cameras or while looking outside my window sipping my coffee I would see him just standing there while his dog is doing his business on my well manicured and cared for grass. I even put up "Keep Off Grass" signs and that didn't help. Don't make enemies with neighbors and walk the other way and avoid her house completely. There are so many other places you can walk your dog around it doesn't have to be in front of her house she obviously doesn't like you.

Walk your dog somewhere else and be thankful you don't have to live with her.

I kind of agree with your neighbor. Maybe the screaming isn't necessary, but I agree with her point. I have a nice lawn that I pay a lot of money to have professionally maintained (fertilizer, seeding, etc.). I hate when people walk their dog past my house and then the dog stops and urinates or poops on my lawn. The urine ends up killing the grass and leaving a dead spot. My lawn is an extension of my home. If a dog peed on my house most people would consider that unacceptable, but for some reason people don't seem to care about other parts of a person's property.

if i was her, if i saw you coming i would just run zone 1 of my sprinkler system.

mostly kidding though. i presently dont care if someone walks past my house and the dog steps on my grass. if they didnt pick up the turds, would be bothered. i dont think an occasional **** will kill much. if i noticed grass issues then ill see if i can put zone 1 on a motion based sensor.

This has nothing to do with poop. She had a fit pounding her window then running outside to scream. I have been walking past this house for over 40 years. She doesn't want the dog to step on her grass. That's why she added a the sign. The next day she stopped me to say she was sorry. My original question was only about the no trespassing sign placed without a barrier blocking onto her property.

well, i am anti-police so i watch videos and read stuff about police trespassing on people's property and people on public property that police illegally try to remove. so im kind of an expert.

its the dog that is trespassing, not you. if she calls the cops, he will probably shoot your dog. not because its technically legal for him to do so but because cops love shooting dogs.

if your dog isnt peeing or pooping then i would ignore her. if a cop is called, then see what the cop says. for the most part, cops dont arrest people for trespassing unless they are committing another crime or are refusing to leave after being asked (by the cop).
