I've only been to one of his concerts, and it was in Germany. Thanks Bruce! There was no real intermission - someone was always on stage playing or singing something - and the concert was long.
Remember years ago talking with an old time waitress in Sweet Lews in Freehold. Said her son was friends with Bruce. Said "BRUCE WAS A VERY ODD KID". I have no use for the guy.

Oh yeah. I was reading something not long ago that said one of his teachers thought he might be a bit "challenged". But, creative people are often seen as odd or not on the same page as everyone else.

Like you, I've only been to one of his concerts, circa 1978 at the old Academy of Music on 14th Street.
He and his band were truly fantastic. That venue, however, was drug-infested pit.
I am a diehard fan and have been to many of his concerts, the second of which was life changing and ended up in me meeting my late husband, so I definitely have a soft spot for the Boss.
That said, I think he has become a little (a lot?) preachy in his old age and I wouldn't go near his Broadway show. His concerts in the 70s and 80s were legendary and some of the poetry in his lyrics border on brilliant, like Dylan's are (although NOT making a direct comparison by any means). He was also a taskmaster and perfectionist when it came to the band and the music and it showed.
