Aptt/condo 2 bedroom in Edison, Woodbridge area (Garfield, Englewood: apartment, rental)

I start my work in Englewood Hospital, NJ in a couple months so I am currently in search of a nice, 2 bedroom apartment, ~$1600/month that is somewhat near Edison, Woodbridge and surrounding arears near NJ transit (maybe 45-50 min commute to Englewood)). I am not very familiar with this and the surrounding areas so I figured this would be a great place to get some guidance. So.. anyone know of any good places. I have 2 kids who also need to go to Grade 1...so also looking for a reasonably good school area which is safe. I am OK with a condo/apartment also but do not know how to search for one!!.

In your price range, you have quite a few choices. You probably don't even have to look outside Edison.

At your price point, I would HIGHLY recommend PRESTWICK WAY in Edison, NJ. These come up once in a while and are just what you need. They are two bedroom townhouses WITH a garage which in this price range is hard to find. The location is decent and the home quality for the rental price is pretty good. Rental rates run from $1600 and up.

Another complex that I would recommend would be WATERFORD which is also in Edison. These are condo units that are one floor and in a great location. Here you tend to have a lot more units available in your price range unlike the PRESTWICK WAY community which comes up once in a while. 2 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms is not unheard of here. Rental rates here run from $1400 - $1700.

Lastly GARFIELD PARK is also an option. There are lots of choices here as they are in the lower section of your price range and the complex overall is pretty large. Rental rates here run from $1000 - $1200 for a two bedroom one bathroom.
