Default I have a question about the high schools in Toms River...

Why is there such a big difference in their rankings? They are in the same town afterall. All of the other towns that have more than one major high school usually rank close together.

Here are NJ Monthly's rankings:

Toms River-North: 178
Toms River-East: 205
Toms River-South: 219

Urgh, NJ monthly rankings drive me crazy. I think they just pull numbers out of a hat and put em next to towns. You will get a better analysis looking on the NJ state site or even Greatschools. Actually great schools ranks them similarly poorly at 4 or 5 out of 10.

HS North has the largest number of students enrolled, HS East has the second most and HS South is the smallest (I'm not including Mon Don Catholic HS). HS North has the most because a few years that section of town was were the housing market was booming with new construction. Overall TR school system is very good. Like in every school district you will hear negatives and positives and in TR the positives outweigh the negatives.

Economics 101, TR North has a larger percentage of middle class and upper middle class incomes.

I believe South also has students from the neighboring towns of South Toms River and Beachwood, which are a little lower when it comes to average incomes.

I went to TR East. North may have the most middle class incomes, but East is by far more upper class. I went to school with many of the "Richies" of TR.

Keep in mind TR is huge...which means hug diversity. TRE, TRN, and TRS are all very different schools.

Very Pretty in Pink I know, but true.
