No mention of Dublin Pub on Pine Street? It's one of the few "real" Irish pubs in New Jersey!

I love the Dublin Pub. The only problem is, there usually is one hell of a line to get in. Hennesey's just got a face lift I noticed. Not the hole it used to be.

True-it is a small place-but its the only Irish pub in Morris County with the Wolfe Tones on the jukebox. When you can get in there's nothing better than finding a cozy booth, sitting down to some Smithwicks, scrod, and singing along to "The Rifles of the IRA."

There's another bar in Morristown, I believe it's called The Dark Horse. It's like someones basement. They actually had a dress code there for the guys. Make sure you wear a collared shirt......and pop it!

morristown
Morristown happens to be a wonderful town to live in. Morristown has a great school system, and it is a decent and clean town.
contrary to belief and to many people on here, Morristown is a pretty safe town. The crime rate has dropped in recent years. Yes it is populated by hispanics, not all illegal, and even if they are it does not matter. They are actually very hard working, very clean, decent people. No they do not cause trouble, and have not made the town worse. The area of morristown known as the "hollow" by locals used to be bad with alot of drugs and crime, but not anymore. The town put in bright street lights all the way up MLK blvd, and police patrol it constantly. It is actually better now, and safe to walk at anytime of the day. There is no "sleezy" or dirty party of Morristown. The whole town is clean and beautiful. Yes, there are many day laborers in the mornings around the train station, but they are great people, safe, and do not harrass or bother anyone. They are just talking to their friends, having coffee, looking for work. There is nothing wrong with that. Around Morristown, you find very little bad along with all the "great" the town has to offer. great restaurants, stores, and atmosphere. It is a great town, just a little expensive to live in.
Stacking, mostly by hispanics has almost come to a complete stop, since morristown has cracked down on it. Many Americans as well are "stacking" and many not realize it. If you even own your own home, you still can only have a certain amount of people, or as the town says "heart beats" per house. a 3 bedroom house can legally only have 6 heart beats. So, If your a family of 5 or 6 kids, and 2 parents, you are stacking. 6 kids, 2 parents = 8 people, 2 more than legal.
There is some crime in Morristown, but not that bad anymore. It used to be worse. There is drug activity, but that happens in every town, large and small in this country. There is good and bad in every town, and morristown has more good than bad. The hispanics are a great new change to morristown, and help bring the economy up. They work, and spend most of their money right here in town in restuarants, stores, and rent. Many, even illegals own their own houses now in Morristown.
So, the moral of the story is, Morristown is a great town to live, work, or to play in, Not dangerous at all, clean and safe. Now, (different than 10 years ago), you can walk anywhere in the town, day or night, even at 3 a.m., and you will be safe. There can be a crime committed, but that goes with any town. You just have to be careful and watch your back, and no, not from the hispanics, most won't bother you. There is good and bad in every nationality. Many Americans who do not know the hispanics, or dislike them speak bad about them, and want everyone else to believe their lies. I have friends of many nationalities, american, hispanic, European, ect ect, and love them all. This country is made of culture, and unless your 100% native american indian, you are not 100% american, and have also came from another country and culture.
Please stop putting this great town down, and start talking positive about morristown, and other people and cultures. If you cannot say anything positive, please do not speak at all about them. Talking bad about someone else makes you, yourself look terrible.
we are all equal. we are all human.

Great town. If the illegals leave it will be even better. Maybe in this economy they will.
