Default Ok this is crazy

My co worker is renewing her car registration on line and they now charge a $2.00 convience surcharge for renewing on line!!!WTH!! 41 cent stamp is cheaper

It is crazy. Another thing I never understood if I pay my credit card by phone they charge me $10......if I pay online its free.

Another example of the type of idiots that run our government agencies. The scary thing is, people are paying the $2 instead of .41

They should be ENCOURAGING people to renew online rather than queuing up at the MVC or clogging the MVC mailboxes with paper. They should be like Wachovia Bank, which charges you a fee if you visit a teller more than 2x a month.

I always renewed on line, don't have to now for 4 years because when you buy or lease a new car now all registation fees for 4 years are taken out to coincide with the 4 year inspection sticker

Rest assured if they still have that surcharge when I have to renew it will be via US Snail Mail...$2.00 is nothing it's the principle of the matter

this is why i get my EZpass from DRJTBC instead of the other providers (State, PANYNJ) - it's free.

Mine is through NY and I get a $1.00 monthly service charge..crazy
