Default Looking for quaint, small town in P.A. that is close to Washington twp., N.J., Warren county

Hi,

I may be taking a job in Washington Twp., NJ, Warren county and I want to find a quaint little town in Pennsylvania to live in. I'm looking to travel about 1/2 to work. Are there any upscale, little to mid size towns in that part of Pennsylvania?

thanks to anyone who can help!

The lack of response is telling. There simply aren't any upscale, quaint little towns in Pennsylvania that are with a half hour's drive from Washington Township, Warren County, New Jersey.

Why Pennsylvania? There are a number of nice towns in New Jersey within half an hour of Washington Township. Upscale? The big money (and big dollars) is in Chester (Morris County).

I like both Belvidere and Hackettstown in Warren County, but I wouldn't consider either "upscale" ... though both are very nice with lovely manor sections, nice "downtowns," and parks.

You may find more in Hunterdon County.

the only town i can think of within a 1/2 hr is easton (not sure I'd call it quaint either). anything further into PA is going to be longer.

Washington Borough is kind of quaint...not upscale, but quaint. Hackettstown is quaint and a little more upscaled than Washington Borough is. Belvidere is cute... They even have their own Klan : )) Not sure why you want to live in PA? Unless you think it may be cheaper?

If you are defining 'upscale' loosely, check Palmer Twp, PA on the other side of Easton. There is a development that runs to about $1 million. It doesn't compare to NJ but if you must be in PA and in that area, that's a good location.
