Are houses over a 1 million selling in watchung? Is it even worth putting my house up for sell now? please advise

Over a mil...you'll probably sell! Anything so called "middle class" range is sitting as we are the ones getting squeezed at the moment...the wealthy are doing fine : )

It depends....we've been looking at watchung for awhile now (months) and there are several million+ homes there that have been sitting there the entire time.

Tale of two houses in my town...

House A goes up for sale $450k
House B goes up for sale $440k.

House A drops price several times to $345k
House B keeps price steady at $440k

House A goes off of market for several months.
House B stays on the market during the same period.

House A is relisted at $299k
House B goes off the market.

Even at a 35% reduction House A is trying to get buyers.
House B is now a rental.
