I am planning to submit an offer to a property in Montgomery/Princeton NJ (08540) because of the school district. Although it seems there is no end to WFH anytime sooner, what are my options to commute to work in Exchange Place, NJ when we get back to normalcy? Looking at a 3-day commute scenario (hopefully).
I can see that it's about ~15-20 mins to Princeton Junction from the property. How reliable is this information/drive? I have been told that daily parking is not an issue at Princeton Junction anymore. Is this accurate? Is there a park & ride option available to Exchange Place, NJ?

Thanks in advance!
Hamilton station might be a better option from Montgomery and a more full service station. Better parking, too.
Its a single lane road with numerous traffic lights (you should do a dry run to count the number of lights to at least gauge the ride to the station in Princeton Jct). I guess you can theoretically drive to Princeton and take the small train to Princeton Jct. Most people I know who are in Montgomery commute by driving to Jersey City directly early in the morning via 78 or drive to East Brunswick (by 27 I guess) and park illegally in one of those communities near the bus top in Rt 18 (they claim there is never any enforcement) to take a bus to Exchange Place/Downtown/Midtown. Some people do park in the tower center in East Brunswick, but then it adds another 15 min each time. So as the previous poster mentioned, you are better off driving directly to Jersey City, even Jersey City is a hot mess in 78 extension for the TPK.
An express train from Princeton Junction is about 35-40 minutes to Newark, and those run approximately every 20-30 minutes during rush hour. Another option is to go to Metropark further down (obviously a longer drive), which also has express trains (around 20 minutes to Newark from that point). Then it's about a 15-20 minute ride on the PATH (Plus transfer/wait time).
