Keansburg is not on the Atlantic Ocean. It doesn’t count.

Ah Thats what I was thinking, because its not 'on the shore'. But wasn't sure if they were counting all beaches.

NJ does beaches well, and they are definitely improving them every year.

That's why NJ is mostly full of overweight people on the beach. Not much fit bodies. Because they're all hanging out by the broadwalk. When I go to the beach, we go directly close to the water.
There is zero reef here, not much marine life. When I visited St. Thomas, the water there is pure bliss. It's clean you can see through it and I even saw sharks.
Here, the water is often green or grey. Murky. And you don't see anything good wash up shore expect for plastics, junk, or some tree branches.
In other warmer regions you see marine life of all sorts in shallow water. I was trying to catch this blue tropical crab and scooped up tons of sea shells. My kids loved it, that's why people go to beaches near the equator.
Here the beaches are just an extension of the mall. Hardly anybody swim or surf. There's nothing to do but spend money at the broadwalk.

You're comparing two very dissimilar environments. It makes no sense. Comparing slightly further north, like the rocky New England shore makes sense, or NC and points south. But the Caribbean and NJ is a ridiculous comparison.

Keep in mind, Massachusetts has more sandy miles than NJ. New England has Rocky beaches, yes, but thats not even the plurality. North of Boston and theLI Sound are really the only stretches of that.

Yes but again, the environment is starting to change as your go north of NJ.
My point anyway was that region just north of us would be a fair comparison to discuss. It's stupid to compare NJ to beaches near the equator.
