Yeah, well, if they keep it up I'll be the one on welfare if they keep raising the property taxes.

There are a few section 8 housing projects in Newton... near Hayek's Market - Rt. 519. Hence the reason our pal Alex's taxes are so high : ) But with that said, Newton is improving and new businesses are moving to the area. It's going through a bit of an upgrade similiar to Hackettstown. Not to mention that he is paying taxes for their postal service to deliver to neighboring towns : )

Kinnelon, 50+ years old, 5BR, 3.5 Bth, one-third acre, lake front on county road: $7500.
Relative to most of America -- Ridiculous!
Relative to most of suburban New Jersey -- No complaints.

Oh yeah, I've seen that apt project building, as a matter of fact I was just mentioning to my son as we were coming home from a little league game last night on how we hardly ever venture into that side of town. As far as the town improving, it's a slow process but we'll eventually get there, I know there's redevelopment talk on Diller ave & Paterson Ave (the Railroad district) and the downtown is going thru more changes to attract new business to the area, the downtown theatre is reopening tomorrow as a matter of fact. Our taxes are high as well for paying for enviromentalists from farhfenughen I mean Freylinghysen ova in Warren County

That is one scarey section... and what's up with the cashiers at Weis? The last clerk we had, had one eye lookin' at you and the other looking for you! There is definatley some major inbreading happening on that side of the tracks! But I have noticed that main street has a few new restaurants. How's that Thai place? Oh and I love that drive thru lottery booth... I want that job! Would I have to duck down and shut the window when it came to break time though?
