Eastampton NJ, sold home in 2002 for 274k 4BR 3BA - $7500.00
Same home is now 10K
Current home in GA. 4BR 2.5BA $2400.00 + $450.00 HOA.
Of course income tax is 6%
Car Tax, mine this year was $400.00 for 2 cars a 2003 and 2007 sedan A Beemer could run north of a grand. NJ has none
2% tax on Food. NJ has none
6-8% tax on clothing depending on county around Atlanta, NJ has none.
Gas is about 15-20 cents more per gallon than NJ.
If you have children all extra school activites such as sports have fees that can run over 1k per year, did not have that in Burlington County.
Guess it's like my old Daddy said, don't matter where you are each state finds a way to poke you equally. Guess that is why I will choose NJ again if I can get a transfer back.

Yeah, but add that all up, and I'll bet you're still $3-4k or more ahead vs the $10k property tax bill in NJ......

Yep your Daddy was right. Hope you make it back here soon. Jersey misses you!
Careful- I hear the IQ drops 30-40 points as you cross the bridge- kinda like the way it drops as you drive further south on the Parkway....lol
Mine only drop by 20 once I moved closer to the border of PA
