Cactus Jacks-Hackettstown
Hey does anyone remember a restaurant at the junction of Route 46 & 57 in Hackettstown called Cactus Jacks from the late 70s early 80s? I was just looking at a survey for the best burgers and that place was one of the few that stood out in my mind as having the best burgers I ever tasted!

??? - 46 and 57 don't intersect - was it near David's Country Inn (46 and Main St), or Golden Skillet (57 and 517)?

I believe I heard that at one time there was a burger place at 57 & 517 (Mountain Ave) across from Golden Skillet where the Boston Market is now. But that was before I lived around here.
Try posting you question on this other forum, someone there will know for sure.

Yep I remember Cactus Jacks
It was where the Boston Market is now. It was a great place. Their Vanilla Shakes were awesome. It was the corner of Mountain Ave and Rt 57, diagonally across from Golden Skillet.

You mean "was".... Boston Market is closed now. I remember Catus Jacks... thats was many, many moons ago! Anyone remember the Jigger Shop on Main St? It was Ken's but has since changed hands again and I hear it's pretty good! Sophia's maybe? Another one for the list of places to check out

I bet NOT Boston Market
My money is on the old Taco-Bell location on 517 - a few doors down from BM. This is now a White Castle, as TB couldn't make it in H'town.

Didn't I hear that TB closed because of Health Dept violations (employees urinating on food?).
