The 73 bus is the only bus that goes to the hospital but from where I live (near Montclair) The only way I can get the bus is by transferring in sketchy areas (Either East Orange, City of Orange, or Newark) there's times I may have to take the bus very early in the morning. So I thought I would ask on here to see if anyone knew perhaps another way (that would take about the same amount of time)

Thank you!

Only other way i could think of is a train to Newark broad, and then a train from there to south orange. The 73 i believe can take you from there to st barnabas. but i bet that will take longer.

Thanks but when I looked on the map from that location in South Orange its telling me to take a bus back to East Orange and transfer to the 73 from there.

I'm thinking maybe there isn't a way around it

Another option, I believe the 73 will take you from orange train station to st barnabas.

why not just transfer in downtown east orange or newark? those areas are all fine, i have a friendn who lives right by the stop in downtown irange.

the alternative is taking train to south orange and take the 31 bus to the hospital. placenj.com is a site that has some info, and i think they have a bus stop map on the transportation page, since it isn't an NJT bus

do not check their website, Coach USA the fares are wrong, and timing is wrong, from my experience.

You can go via Caldwell, I think. 29->71->73. It will take longer. Main Street / MLK is fine to transfer during the day; tends to be pretty deserted in the morning before the stores open.
