first time buyers commuting dilemma need help! (Morristown, Princeton: live in, moving)

hi everyone - my boyfriend and i are looking to buy this Fall -I currently have a great job located in South Philadelphia that i drive to now - I live in Princeton so the commute isnt too bad, straight down 95. he is currently working in princeton but looking for a new position possibly up in north jersey near Morristown - I'm not familiar with the areas up there and am in desperate need of help! What is a good halfway point for both of us so we dont have any more then a 50 mile commute each; I'm thinking Lawrenceville?? we are looking to spend up to $275,000 max - any advice is greatly appreciated!!!

you could stay right where you are, moving north would make your trip to philly worse and unless you live near morristown the commute to there will stink from anywhere else you'd go to
