I'd consider Gloucester Twp - where exactly are the homes located? The Black Horse Pike Regional sd isn't the greatest but its not bad by any means. If your kids do well already then they should have no problem there.

There are a few in clementona sub division by hickstown and erial rd.
I will probably take a drive through there this weekend and hopefully the disappointment from the house I really wanted will lessen cause I think it is clouding my judgement

Is that the big building on 130? It was still there the last time I went past there which was probably months ago.

Default Mt. Ephraim, trains and otherwise

I grew up in Mt. Ephraim. The neighborhood seems to be attracting a younger crowd again in recent years, young couples getting starter homes with a child or two. Most homes in there area will be a bit crowded with more than two children.

The train runs very infrequently. I lived there for my first 25 years of life. I can remember only about a dozen times witnessing a train, either sight or sound, passing on those tracks. They do not see much use anymore, hence the lack of crossing barriers at intersections. I lived 2 blocks from the tracks.

The school system has just recently been augmented. Mary Bray school was expanded in the last five years to nearly double its size, and Kershaw school had the same done about 15 years back. The high school district after eighth grade is Audubon High School, in the next town over.

I agree with primarily White Irish American statement. Culturally, not really diverse internally, but a close neighbor is Camden and even Gloucester is seeing diversity these days. Not that this sort of diversity is the welcoming or educational sort.

Starter home, sure. Place to settle into, maybe not.
