Default Drinking Water - Monmouth County

HI! I noticed when we were looking at houses that almost everyone had a water cooler. Does the water not taste good, or is that just personal preference for some people? I know some people like bottled water, but I’m a tap girl myself. I’m hoping I don’t have to get a water cooler.

I also should have asked - if you do have a water cooler how much does that cost? Thanks!

I believe alot of the areas close to the ocean have sulfer issues...rotten egg smelling water - perhaps this is why? I would recommend that anyone having "city water" use a water cooler for their drinking water - what goes down, comes right back to you through your tap ; ) For pricing, I would google a few companies in that area.

I have a cooler that comes with my subscription through Poland Spring.

My cooler, with three 5 gallon jugs delivered to me costs 28/month.

zombiemommie is on a distinguished road
I live in Little Silver, we have "city water" that comes through New Jersey American Water Company (reservoir abutts Colts Neck) and our water is chlorine-ish sometimes, but fine. Some people have well water, like some in Colts Neck, that has that horrid sulfur smell and it stains clothes, too.

Thanks everyone. I'd hate to have to pay for water but the price doesn't sound too bad. I am really cheap though.
