yeah, like what happened to when you have kids your life changes for about 20 years
go to Disney

I adore kids..I had 5 of my own & 2 grand kids
I strive to find adults only resorts now because I can't take the unruly little brats left to run rampant..and it's not ALL the kids but it just takes a few..hell when mine were small i needed to get away not drag them with me

Wish they would come up with Adults only crusies

Ah, but see, it wasn't the parents that decided to make Las Vegas "family friendly", it was the casino/hotel industry in Las Vegas that decided they could make more money by pitching Vegas as a "family friendly" destination. That may have changed by now (these things probably go in cycles), but the point is that the Almighty Dollar is what was behind it, not some campaign by parents to bring their kids to Vegas.

Same point goes for kids in bars, although now there seems to be a distinction made between bars and bar/restaurants, the latter is where I have seen kids many times.

If it's illegal (and I haven't seen the law cited, so I don't know if it is) to have a 12 year old sit at a bar with his father and watch a game, then so be it - there's no excuse for breaking the law. (We can debate whether a 12 year old sitting at the bar with his father watching a game, while eating chicken wings, is so different.)

If it's legal, however, then it's up to the market to sort it out - I'm sure "no kids" bars are out there to capitalize on all the demand. I have been in "adults only" establishments so I know they are out there.

LOL no it was because by the time we reached them he was dozing in his stroller so I guess I looked like the neglectful parent who kept the baby out too late

i used to go into the bar my dad hung out in all the time and play that stupid bowling game with the disk and sand you threw on the table to make it slide quickly.

Sitting in the bar area of Applebee's or another "family type" restaurant, in a booth or at one of the "high boy" tables is acceptable, but not at the actual "bar".

Applebee's is more a restaurant/ bar not a neighborhood Bar
These kids were little and the baby girl was really fussing..she was more then likely bored and tired..but didn't seem to faze the clueless parents

I've seen older kids on a Saturday afternoon having a Shirley Temple..that doesn't bother me as they aren't fussing but last night this was babies and it was night not afternoon..the juke box was cranking, hooting & hollering over the Mets game..the poor kids needed to be home
