Well, there is always the German Butcher on Lacey Rd. Forked River. Call to order. This man makes the best corned beef, sealed in a cook in bag and if you mess it up it's all your fault! All his meats top of the line. So are the prices but worth it.

Hi Everyone,

Even through there is not only German food on the menu (also Hungarian and Polish), you must make it out to the Blue Danube restaurant in Trenton. The food there is tremendous.

I hiked a lot of big mountain for that damn spatzel and red cabbage!!!!! Funny now the catskills are completely all kosher, and the adks are all hillybillies. Only one or two good german places left in NY state too!! One is homeyers, the other by lake george the heidelberg and one only open in the summer pumernickels. I have been to most so you gave me a new one!!!!!!!!
You obviously have not done your homework! There are two AWESOME German restaurants in the boroughs. One is Killmeyers in Staten Island, the other is on 5th Ave in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and is called The Shnitzel Haus. The latter serves beer in a HUUUUGE boot! Both have beyond delicious food.

isnt that a good thing? i dont drink wine but it was my understanding that BYOB is better because you pay much less for the wine and you get exactly what you want.

i remember we went to fritzy's a few times when i was a kid. never really knew why because its not like i had any great meals there. i guess its for the international experience.
