I'm not going to move those leaves myself, and I couldn't afford to have anyone else move them if they had to use rakes. And no, electric ones really don't work well. So, gas it is. Either that or my lawn's going to be dead.

It would be one thing if the blowers were only used in the fall when there are actual leaves on the lawn. I watch the pro lawn guys/ and some homeowners use the blowers to blow 4 leaves and some clippings off the property into the street every time they cut the lawn. There is no reason for this.
The lawn care people will just charge everyone an extra $20/week to cover the cost. They will probably have to throw away a ton of batteries every year
The people trying to pass this just need their woke points. It is the same town that went out of their way to celebrate the life of Dr Martin Luther King Jr by naming a traffic circle after him (It was the least they could do, literally the LEAST)
I personally own an electric leaf blower. It is fine for me for personal use. Couldn't imagine using it to clear a 3/4 acre property in the fall
I'd be fine with that. I am old enough to remember the time before those stupid things were invented. The noise is so annoying. Use a rake, lazy people.
Noise, pollution and wasting fossil fuels just blowing grass and debris around.
The silliest part is when I see these landscapers on a very breezy day blowing grass clippings onto the street only then to have the wind blow it back on the property afterwards. All that burning of fossil fuels for nothing. And I thought this dumb state was Democrat and concerned about climate change.
The main benefit to a gas blower is that it has biggest capacity and last longer. All these landscaping companies would have to carry a ton of batteries if they are forced to switch. I would welcome it because it's a significant amount of noise pollution since many of them have many machines running at the same time which adds to the noise and emissions. You can here the big mower, blower, and the edging machines are the noisiest making the sharp chirping noises.

There is no shortage of "fossil fuels", the idea that its finite was pushed around to keep make it seem like supply is limited. Also quotations around fossil fuels, because most of it is not from fossils.

What’s the logic behind banning gas blowers but not gas mowers and edgers/trimmers?
