Default Swedesboro public schools vs. DE private schools - any comparison?

Swedesboro public schools vs. DE private schools - any comparison, opinions will be appreciated. I mean, is it worth it to pay higher taxes in Swedesboro / Mullica Hill / Logan etc. towns in NJ, but, save on schooling, by sending kids to public school in NJ vs. saving on house-prices/taxes in Delaware (Bear/Middletown DE area), but, then have to send kids to private school?

Which option is a better compromise IYO? [Savings-wise, quality of education wise, crime-free-neighborhood perspective and no-cancer-cluster or health perspective].

Assumptions:
  • Place of work = Wilmington DE
  • quality(NJ public schools) > quality(DE public schools)
  • property-taxes(NJ) > property-taxes(DE) etc.

I work in PA and have a lot of co workers that live in Delaware and they send their kids to the schools there. They say the schools are so so... Personally I would go with almost any school system in jersey over delaware unless its private school of course. I had the same decision as you to make but I chose the Swedesboro option... Their schools are good and the community is growing... Even in this horrible market a lot of people are still buying homes there. The prices are good and its a nice place to live.
