I have an idea! Whenever we see repetitive threads we can post something completely random (talk about stuff like cheese, Toyota, Mississippi, or the Eiffel Tower).
I am guilty of resurrecting old posts, but only really good ones! Some of them don't deserve to be buried on page 267!

there's been mention of stickies as is done on other boards. people - NJ has 566 municipalities - it would be virtually impossible to create a sticky even for the top 10. the boards that have stickies are those of a metro area of a state, not the entire state itself.
plus, shall we sticky the 20 page bickering back and forth that goes on nearly every day about newark and jersey city? come on. i, and while I don't speak for bob and rapture, have no intention of culling through some of these threads for one little nugget of information.
if you are tired of answering questions, then don't. simple as that. this is a forum for relocation, and as such, you must expect duplicate questions, maybe with a little spin, as everyone's situation is different. this isn't a chat room - i feel we're pretty liberal about allowing threads to take different direction, as long as the dialogue remains healthy, in addition to letting threads stand that have absolutely nothing to do with NJ.
it's understandable for folks who have been here for awhile to get sick of seeing the same thing day after day - but it's the nature of the beast. that being said, what I will do is make a sticky asking newbies to use the search feature before posting. ok?
also, any issues about this decision should be brought to a moderator's attention via DM.
thanks

Where has there been a mention of stickies? I looked through the entire thread and didn't see any?

First off, I agree with you and secondly I'm not taking your post personally nor am I offended (just wanted to say that first before I continued) Altough I'll admit that I may have been bored, or that I may have sounded like I was whining and like I was throwing a temper tantrum, my OP was about how redundant and how monotamy sets in when answering the same questions over & over, I'm all up for helping people with relocation questions or finding out about towns, schools and etc, etc, etc., but sometimes, personally speaking, I wish people would be more creative in their questions, or at least be somewhat interesting so that I (or us) can become engaged in a healthy exchange. I do agree, this is not a chat room, but there are ways to reply to questions with either a sense of humor or if not playful (NEVER flirtatious, no sir LOL). As a somewhat relatively "new" to this board (since feb) I was asking as well if any of the regulars of the board ever felt the way that I did yesterday or was it just me, or if they felt that way at any point, did the feeling go away or did it stay?

LOL! I get it, truly I do, I feel the same about threads relating to taxes - so I ignore them (for the most part ). The Seattle board is sick of weather threads , the Michigan board is sick of state economy threads, the General US board is sick of "Is this state Southern?" threads, and the beat goes on.
Hopefully the sticky will help.

Seriously. I used to write very detailed responses whenever I had information that I thought would be helpful. Now I keep it short until the poster returns to ask more questions.

A problem with the search is wading through numerous posts, many of which are just batting back and forth communications by the regular posters.
