Question Nervous about Bradley Beach?

Hi. I know that Bradley Beach is called "NJ's Family Resort," but I was just there this weekend (to see the house that we are supposed to be renting for the summer) and it didn't seem like it to me. I had been there a couple of times a few years ago, but I remembered it being much nicer. I would be renting with my husband and 2 small children. The house is fine, but not sure about the community anymore.

Does anyone have any input/feedback/advice? Any would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I lived in Bradley Beach from 89-90 and it was so-so then. I had a condo on LaReine Avenue, 1 block from the beach. That block was nice but a few inland were just ok.

Personally, I still would rent in Bradley Beach with 2 young children then say, Belmar.

Good luck!
Shanny

the area is run down, main st has many sketchy types and the other side of the tracks is a terrible area, that said, taking normal precautions you shouldn't run into any problems, Bradley has always been a higher crime area because of it's proximity to neptune and asbury

Default Bradley Beach

I live in Bradley and its not so bad...it has a lot of nice restaurants and the beach is still kid friendly. I have two children. Right now it still feels like the horrible summer quiet bla winter months because of all of the rain...it will pick up. If you interested in a rental I have a friend's home in Ocean Grove that she is looking to rent. Visit my website and send me an email: maxcymedia.com
