I always thought that hospital was a dump.

Maybe people should research 'Best Hospitals' ahead of time.
I find a hospital that is state of the art, at least in the situations that I think address my problems, then I find doctors affiliated with them. This way, if I have an emergency, I'll be able to be admitted there and get better treatment (hopefully).

Since it now has new ownership (needless to say, a private firm headed by a former M.D. who had practice issues/no longer licensed), they are now fleecing their employees BIG time. We will see more of this as more hospitals go corporate. It looks like the party keeps rolling at Meadowlands Hospital. More consumer red flags. Time for the government to step in to protect the consumer. Or the big, bad government to some people.Insurer sues Meadowlands Hospital over bills : page all - NorthJersey.com

From personal experience: St. Clare's in Denville is great,
Newton Memorial Hospital is awful for emergency (or really anything),
Morristown is good for certain things.

Overlook is all right. Morristown is great. That's about it for my experiences with hospitals so far.
