Is there a site that can give you a list of towns within a certain radius of a specific town? LOL - or should I just get a realtor to help me finally narrow down towns...

You're on the right track. Realtor.com will give you lists of towns within a given radius of any other town. Search for the town you're interested in, the click on Advanced Search, then Add Nearby Areas, then pick the radius you're interested in.

Really? A map, "E"? Thanks.

FYI - I tried using google maps in my search for towns that might be within a certain distance of us (did this for weeks and am now driving myself nuts), as we work in an area where the towns are practically right on top of each other. All I was asking if there was some sort of site anyone knew of where you could plug in a town and a radius, and you'd automatically get a list of towns within the radius.

Must be tough to be on a forum like this and have to read such stupid questions such as mine. Everyone has a cross to bare I suppose...

I used google maps INTENSELY when I was house shopping. Grab the target area, and draw a circle representing your distance. The other thing I did was plotted out addresses of houses I was interested in, and put contact info, pricing, my notes on the house, etc, so I had a handy saved location I could check out from anywhere with internet access (which for me is pretty much anywhere).

The teacher in me has to answer "there's no such thing as a stupid question." It was actually a good question...even being from NJ, I didn't know realtor.com did this. Thanks for asking.

You know before the "computer geeks" took over the world people actually used print media for information, newspapers, books, maps.

I realize it might be a step backward to use a map but you can learn a lot more about a "new" area from a print map then you can from the electronic ones.
