Default 2br+ single house or townhouse in bergen county

Hi.

I'm looking for a 2BR or 3BR single house or townhouse in Bergen County and need some advice.

My work is in Englewood Cliffs and my church is in Norwood.. so an ideal location would be anywhere in between that is safe and quiet.

I know the real estate price is pretty high in the area... but unfortunately my price range is between $ 250K - 350K.

Any advice on a good location or town would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I think it's unlikely you will find something that isn't a real "fixer upper" anywhere between Englewood Cliffs and Norwood in your price range.

You may want to consider a condo.

there are some new condos that are being built on piermont rd in tenafly, but unfortunately i think those units start at around a half million or so.

you might want to look in bergenfield or dumont. they're definitely less expensive than the towns closer to the hudson river such as tenafly, cresskill, or demarest.

it's going to be very difficult to find a single family detached house in your price range. a condo or townhouse is a much more realistic possibility.

Are you working with a realtor? There are houses on the market that are two-three bedrooms in Norwood and Northvale within your price range.

Yup... I've been checking out Tenafly-Closter-Creskill area with an agent...
the only drawback is... she keeps showing houses in the 480-500k range only...

so there are 3 bdr houses below 400k in norwood? Thx.
