Default Soo many trees in NJ

I'm sick and tired of all those trees in New Jersey. It's like everywhere! I went to Los Angeles, they do not have so many trees, if they do, they are mostly Palm trees that does not cover the streets, houses etc.
They are so ugly and annoying. I bet 90% of the state is forest.

Like, it's OK to have trees, but not that much.. u should understand me.

trees are better

we get more oxygen

more animal life

and it looks nicer

Plus if you do not want to see trees just go to Manhattan, it is not too far

That is the beauty of NJ, we get everything in such a small area, so we do not have to go far to get something we want

And plus it protects us from the sun rays, and keeps our area from overheating

ever heard of urban heat islands? i'm willing to bet a lot of city residents, especially in poorer areas, would love to have some trees lining their block.

but yes, i agree that los angeles has a completely different landscape - much more open, sunny, and in many cases more scenic. for instance, if you were to drive up the pacific coast highway, you'd see mountains on one side and the pacific ocean on the other. if you've never taken that drive, you owe it to yourself to do so (preferably with a nice convertible) next time you're out there.

southern california vs. ny/nj is an apples-to-oranges comparison. our area is far from perfect but you have to appreciate our strengths. and personally, i like having tree-lined streets - we could sure use a lot more in nyc proper.

I'm so sick and tired of all that dead brown vegetation in California. It's like everywhere in the winter! I went to Miami, they do not have so much dead brown vegetation, if they do, they can be watered and brought back to life. It is so ugly and annoying and it catches on fire easily. I bet 90% of the state is dead brown vegetation.

Default New Developments

As new housing developments take up more and more acreage, the trees are slowly disappearing in neighborhoods.

The reason California doesn't have any trees is because they keep burning down their forests... hundreds of Acres at a time!

I like having trees...I'm not a huge fan of those folks who plant huge trees within 2-feet of their homes... I planted trees along the outskirts of the property and any trees near the house are "dwarfs" as I don't want to be bothered cleaning my gutters every year nor do I want my foundation cracking when the trees mature. I've seen some houses where the trees are 10 times the size of the home! Not appealing in my opinion... I like having a view.

I moved to Toms River and live on the water so I don't have trees on my property anymore and I think all the sun I get is great. Then I drive up the Parkway and from late spring to Novemeber I am awed by the beauty of all the trees. Finally last week I was sitting in my cousins back yard with large trees providing shade and blowing in the breeze and it was really nice. Then I think of having to rake all of those leaves and I'm glad I get to visit and enjoy but don't have to clean up after them in the fall.
