Furthermore, the "rumors" are facts and won't stop until the murders, yes I said it, murders stop. It IS an unsafe environment, when you have security checkpoints to enter a school, that's usually a clue and means they have reason to check for weapons, etc. Ok, the school may be safer because of the checkpoints, but what about the parking lot, athletic fields, etc. No thank you.
Also, I think those that wrote about Franklin being one of the top places to live have never been there or as someone else has said, someone's being paid. Maybe to shine a better light on the town, who knows.

Clearly you have no idea what crime is like or experience living in a crime infested neighborhood ..you people(suburban modest) all crack me up with your four crimes in one year ...and that determines or justify a neighborhood as being BAD ......appartenly you need a reality check .......so shallow

Franklin Township
Hi
I agree with you. Let's recall the string of robberies in the town of Montgomery. I personally checked on this because I was concerned about where the robberies were ocurring. The individuals were robbing homes in various developments during the day. Additionally, Princeton and South Brunswick had gang fights a few years ago. South Brunswick had a group of fourteen year old girls place inappropriate sexual content on the internet also.
My point of this, is to state that all of the townships have issues. However, what disturbs me the most, are the comments projected out there by the people that are not involved in the school system. To see what it's really like for the kids, get involved with the school. Attend the meetings to see what changes are being made by the school district. Comments are made by people that are always listening to hear say but are not involved. You can say that you heard it from your friend or neighbor, but everyone's circumstances and children are different. And, yes, diversity plays a factor because I have heard it come from parents!
And for safety...go to the police department...check the township's crime rate..check your murders (because they are not where I live and socialize), and check national averages. The people that I know in Franklin Township are great people.

Silly person, I worked in the prison system my whole life. Yes I personally know not only the civilian side of it, but the system side as well. I know many of Franklin's criminals, personally. And just because it's not reported doesn't mean it doesn't happen in those suburban modest neighborhoods.
Don't call me names, you don't know me. You don't know where I live.
Nor do you know what I've seen, experienced, etc. You my dear are the shallow and let's add CLUELESS one.
And it seems I've hit a nerve with you telling you that your town really is bad. Maybe you just don't know for sure how much time your neighbor has served and most importantly, for what.

I can take being clueless but I live in the real world - Clearly you missed the point I was making is - Like I stated when you have lived in a different states, then you can tell me about CRIME - you have no idea what crime is like in other states or even other townships is NJ - I'm not saying we should be happy about crime but CRIME IS EVERYWHERE so unless you live in your very own secluded town then you are safe of crime.
Moderator cut: calm down
AND sorry dear a neighborhood/town "does not" make me so any comments about any of these township's I would not take personal nor would it hit a nerve I have more serious issues that would hit MY NERVES - not even a self proclaimed prison system no it all like you .......................and i don't know you and don't want to know you and I really don't care what suburban town you reside in ......you stated your OPINION and I am stating mines....................

"mines"
Anyway, I have lived in 4 different states and different parts of each one.
You need to get a grip - as the moderator said - calm down.
I'm not a know it all, but a really good judge of what and where crime is. You are taking this far too personal.
